I painted this piece on a cold, snowy day that made me reminisce about my favorite season, the fall. One of the sheer delights in nature is watching the seasons transpire from one to another. After every autumn, as the leaves fall off and the branches are bare, sometimes filled with snow resting on top, I long to see the colors of autumn again. The oranges, the yellows, the reds, the purples, shimmering in the sunlight with a golden glow ... a feast for the eyes! I brought in a burst of all these colors into this abstract painting to create my own little fall scene.
