Inspired by the story of the heart - the heart which sometimes takes over the mind, the heart which we give away to our beloved, the heart which endures pain, the heart which sometimes breaks, the heart which relentlessly functions to circulate blood keeping us alive through it all. The painting depicts the complexity of feelings the heart can feel with bright colors of bliss, love, glimmers of hope to colors of darkness and despair. The red and turquoise beautifully flow next to each other like the arteries and veins that carry the blood to and from the heart.
